    £14.26 per hour | Carlisle | Full Time | After October Half-Term | KS2 Teaching Assistant

    Humly are recruiting for an adaptable and energetic Teaching Assistant to support a primary school in Carlisle from after the October half-term. This full-time role will run through to Easter 2027, with your main base within upper Key Stage 2, supporting pupils in Year 5 and Year 6 as they prepare for the transition to secondary school.

    This Teaching Assistant role would suit an experienced Teaching Assistant, Learning Support Assistant or education professional who enjoys working across different year groups. While your main focus will be upper KS2, you may also step in to support pupils in Year 3 and Year 4 when required, making this a varied role within the school.

    Role Details

    • Full-time Teaching Assistant role in a Carlisle primary school

    • Start after the October half-term

    • Running through to Easter 2027

    • Main base within upper Key Stage 2

    • Supporting pupils in Year 5 and Year 6

    • Occasional support across lower Key Stage 2

    • Supporting Year 3 and Year 4 when required

    • Working closely with class teachers and the wider school team

    • £14.26 per hour

    What You'll Be Doing

    • Supporting pupils across upper Key Stage 2

    • Working primarily with Year 5 and Year 6 pupils

    • Supporting pupils with their learning across the school day

    • Helping pupils prepare for the transition to secondary school

    • Providing 1:1 and small group support where required

    • Supporting classroom learning and activities

    • Helping pupils stay focused, settled and engaged

    • Stepping in to support Year 3 and Year 4 when required

    • Supporting classroom routines and transitions

    • Building positive and trusting relationships with pupils

    • Working closely with class teachers and the wider school team

    • Adapting your approach to support different year groups and pupil needs

    You'll Be a Good Fit If You...

    • Have previous experience working as a Teaching Assistant, LSA or similar education role

    • Have experience working in a primary school setting

    • Have experience supporting pupils across Key Stage 2

    • Are confident working with Year 5 and Year 6 pupils

    • Are adaptable and comfortable supporting different year groups

    • Are energetic, positive and reliable

    • Can build positive relationships with pupils

    • Are confident supporting learning and classroom routines

    • Can work effectively alongside class teachers

    • Have a flexible approach to supporting the wider school

    • Are available for full-time work from after the October half-term
