    Humly are recruiting for a Year 5 Teacher to join a primary school in Blackburn from 5 October 2026. This role will involve teaching a Year 5 class, delivering engaging lessons and helping pupils stay focused, settled and supported in the lead-up to the October half-term.

    This Year 5 Teacher role would suit an experienced Primary Teacher, Key Stage 2 Teacher or ECT who is confident leading a class and delivering the primary curriculum. The role is initially expected to run until 23 October 2026, with potential to continue further depending on the needs of the school.

    What You'll Be Doing

    • Teaching a Year 5 class across the school day

    • Planning and delivering engaging lessons

    • Following the Key Stage 2 primary curriculum

    • Supporting pupils with their learning and progress

    • Adapting lessons to meet different learning needs

    • Creating a positive and inclusive classroom environment

    • Managing classroom routines and expectations

    • Keeping pupils focused, settled and engaged

    • Building positive relationships with pupils

    • Assessing learning and providing appropriate feedback

    • Working closely with Teaching Assistants and school staff

    • Supporting pupils in the lead-up to the October half-term

    You'll Be a Good Fit If You...

    • Are a qualified Primary Teacher, ECT or experienced education professional

    • Have experience teaching in a primary school setting

    • Have experience teaching Key Stage 2

    • Are confident teaching a Year 5 class

    • Have a good understanding of the primary curriculum

    • Are confident planning and delivering engaging lessons

    • Can manage classroom behaviour and routines effectively

    • Are reliable, organised and approachable

    • Can build positive relationships with pupils

    • Are adaptable and confident working as part of a school team

    • Are available to start on 5 October 2026
