    Teaching Assistant – Outstanding Secondary School - Kingston

    Are you looking to make a positive influence on a young person's life this year?

    A highly regarded secondary school in Kingston, is seeking a dedicated Teaching Assistant to join their team. They are looking for an individual to work with small groups of students or on a 1:1 basis, supporting those with mild learning needs, including Autism, ADHD & SEMH.

    As a school that prides itself on inclusion, we maintain a specialist SEN Department while ensuring students are successfully integrated into mainstream classrooms to reach their full academic potential.

    Duties & Responsibilities

    • Targeted Support: Work closely with pupils in groups or 1:1, focusing on maintaining and improving their social, emotional, physical, and learning needs.

    • Tailored Approach: Adapt your communication, engagement, and distraction techniques to optimize learning and maximize the comfort of students with diverse needs.

    • Facilitate Growth: Encourage and facilitate the specific learning requirements of students, helping them to thrive and achieve their personal best.

    • Collaboration: Work alongside our SENCO and classroom teachers to implement tailored learning plans.

    About You

    • Experience: Experience working with secondary-aged students is essential.

    • Specialism: Previous experience supporting students with ADHD or Autism is highly advantageous.

    • Attributes: We are looking for someone with a "can-do" attitude, patience, and a genuine passion for inclusive education.
