<h2 class="">Overview</h2><p class="text-sm leading-relaxed">We are proud to be working in partnership with a well-established and highly regarded SEND College in New Malden, providing specialist education for learners with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), Profound and Multiple Learning Disabilities (PMLD), and a range of complex needs.</p><p class="text-sm leading-relaxed">The College is seeking a committed and enthusiastic SEND Lecturer to join their dedicated team on a permanent basis.</p><p class="text-sm leading-relaxed">As a SEND Lecturer, you will deliver tailored, high-quality teaching that supports learners in developing the skills they need for adulthood. Your focus will include Functional Skills, Life Skills, and Employability pathways, with all learning carefully aligned to EHCP targets and individual aspirations.</p><p class="text-sm leading-relaxed">You will be part of a collaborative multi-disciplinary team, working closely with therapists, learning support staff, and families to ensure each learner receives a holistic and personalised educational experience.</p><p class="text-sm leading-relaxed"></p><p class="text-sm leading-relaxed"><strong>Age Range:</strong> 16–25 years</p><p class="text-sm leading-relaxed"><strong>Contract: </strong>Monday To Friday 8:45AM To 4:30PM</p><h2 class="">Key Responsibilities</h2><ul class="list-disc pl-6 space-y-1"><li><p class="text-sm leading-relaxed">Plan and deliver creative, accessible lessons that meet a diverse range of needs</p></li><li><p class="text-sm leading-relaxed">Adapt teaching approaches for students with ASD, PMLD, and complex learning profiles</p></li><li><p class="text-sm leading-relaxed">Create, implement and review Individual Learning Plans (ILPs)</p></li><li><p class="text-sm leading-relaxed">Track and evidence progress towards EHCP outcomes</p></li><li><p class="text-sm leading-relaxed">Participate in annual reviews and maintain effective communication with families and professionals</p></li><li><p class="text-sm leading-relaxed">Encourage independence, communication development and emotional regulation</p></li></ul><h2 class="">Candidate Profile</h2><ul class="list-disc pl-6 space-y-1"><li><p class="text-sm leading-relaxed">Hold a recognised UK teaching qualification (QTS, QTLS, PGCE or CertEd)</p></li><li><p class="text-sm leading-relaxed">Have experience working with young people with Special Educational Needs</p></li><li><p class="text-sm leading-relaxed">Demonstrate strong behaviour management and de-escalation skills</p></li><li><p class="text-sm leading-relaxed">Embrace a person-centred and inclusive teaching philosophy</p></li><li><p class="text-sm leading-relaxed">Be passionate about enabling young adults with complex needs to achieve meaningful progress</p></li></ul><p class="text-sm leading-relaxed"></p><p class="text-sm leading-relaxed"><strong>Successful applicants must hold, or be willing to obtain, an enhanced DBS certificate.
