<h2 class="">Overview</h2><p class="text-sm leading-relaxed">We are currently recruiting dedicated and compassionate SEN Teaching Assistants to join a forward-thinking specialist SEN College in Lambeth. The college supports learners with a range of additional needs, including Autism, PMLD, complex needs, and communication difficulties.</p><p class="text-sm leading-relaxed">With the recent opening of a brand-new site, the college is entering a dynamic phase of growth and development. This is a fantastic opportunity to be part of an expanding provision that is committed to empowering young people to achieve their goals and develop essential skills for adulthood.</p><p class="text-sm leading-relaxed"></p><p class="text-sm leading-relaxed"><strong>Age Range: </strong>16–19+ years</p><p class="text-sm leading-relaxed"><strong>Contract: </strong>Monday to Friday 8:30am To 4:00PM</p><p class="text-sm leading-relaxed"></p><h2 class="">Key Responsibilities</h2><ul class="list-disc pl-6 space-y-1"><li><p class="text-sm leading-relaxed">Provide tailored in-class support to enable students to access personalised learning programmes.</p></li><li><p class="text-sm leading-relaxed">Foster positive and trusting relationships that promote independence, confidence, and life skills development.</p></li><li><p class="text-sm leading-relaxed">Support students with personal care, mobility, and emotional regulation where required.</p></li><li><p class="text-sm leading-relaxed">Work collaboratively with teaching staff, therapists, and support teams to ensure a consistent and nurturing learning environment.</p></li><li><p class="text-sm leading-relaxed">Implement effective behaviour management and de-escalation strategies where necessary.</p></li></ul><h2 class="">Candidate Profile</h2><ul class="list-disc pl-6 space-y-1"><li><p class="text-sm leading-relaxed">Previous experience supporting young people with SEN (Autism, PMLD, or complex needs desirable).</p></li><li><p class="text-sm leading-relaxed">Calm, patient, and resilient with a proactive mindset.</p></li><li><p class="text-sm leading-relaxed">Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team.</p></li><li><p class="text-sm leading-relaxed">Passionate about making a meaningful difference in the lives of young people.</p></li></ul><p class="text-sm leading-relaxed"></p><p class="text-sm leading-relaxed"><strong>Successful applicants must hold, or be willing to obtain, an enhanced DBS certificate.
