    Overview

    We are working in partnership with a respected SEN College in New Malden, Surrey, to appoint a committed and enthusiastic SEN Learning Support Assistant for a long-term position.

    The college supports young people with a variety of complex learning needs, including Autism (ASD) and Profound and Multiple Learning Difficulties (PMLD). Their tailored, person-centred approach focuses on developing communication, independence, life skills, and employability—empowering learners to transition confidently into adulthood.

    Age Range: 16–25 years

    Contract: Monday To Friday 8:45AM To 3:30PM

    Key Responsibilities

    • Deliver 1:1 and small group support for students with ASD and PMLD

    • Assist with personal care and daily living tasks when required

    • Promote communication, social development, and independent living skills

    • Support students during practical sessions such as cookery, travel training, and work-related learning

    • Collaborate effectively with teaching staff and external professionals

    Candidate Profile

    • Previous experience supporting individuals with Autism and/or PMLD

    • Calm, patient, and nurturing approach

    • Comfortable supporting personal care needs

    • Strong teamwork and communication skills

    Successful applicants must hold, or be willing to obtain, an enhanced DBS certificate. Full support will be provided throughout the process
