    Humly are recruiting an organised and proactive School Business Manager / Admin Officer to join a vibrant school community in Carlisle from mid-September. This full-time role will support the smooth running of the school's administrative functions, with responsibility across daily office operations, financial and HR procedures, and communication with parents, visitors and staff.

    This School Business Manager / Admin Officer role would suit an experienced school administrator, office manager, business manager or administrative professional who is confident managing a busy school office. You'll play an important role in keeping the school organised, supporting staff with administrative processes and providing a welcoming and professional first point of contact for the wider school community.

    • Supporting the day-to-day running of the school office

    What You'll Be Doing

    • Managing day-to-day school office administration

    • Supporting the smooth running of reception and office procedures

    • Welcoming parents, visitors and staff in a professional and friendly manner

    • Handling telephone calls, emails and general enquiries

    • Supporting financial administration, including invoices, payments and records

    • Assisting with HR processes and staff administration

    • Maintaining accurate school records and documentation

    • Supporting communication between the school, families and external contacts

    • Handling confidential information appropriately

    • Working closely with the school's leadership team and wider staff

    You'll Be a Good Fit If You...

    • Have experience working in school administration, education, office management or a similar setting

    • Have experience as a School Business Manager, School Administrator, Admin Officer or Office Manager

    • Are organised, proactive and confident managing competing priorities

    • Have strong administrative and communication skills

    • Are comfortable supporting financial and HR procedures

    • Can handle confidential information with professionalism and discretion

    • Are confident using standard office systems and software

    • Have a friendly and approachable manner when dealing with parents, visitors and staff

    • Are reliable and available for full-time work from mid-September
