    Humly are recruiting for a patient and nurturing Nursery Teaching Assistant to work part-time at a school in Penrith from September 2026.

    This Nursery Teaching Assistant role is ideal for someone who enjoys working with young children and supporting early learning through play, communication, routines and social development. You’ll be working every Thursday and Friday, helping to provide a safe, happy and stimulating environment for children in the Nursery setting.

    The booking will initially run for the Autumn Term, with strong potential to continue into the new year.

    Schedule: Part-time - Thursday and Friday

    What You’ll Be Doing

    You’ll be supporting children in Nursery with:

    • General Nursery and Early Years classroom support

    • Play-based learning and early development activities

    • Communication, language and social development

    • Supporting daily routines and transitions

    • Small-group activities and individual pupil support

    • Helping children build confidence and independence

    • Supporting positive behaviour and emotional development

    • Working closely with the class teacher and wider Early Years team

    You’ll Be a Good Fit If You…

    • Have experience as a Nursery Teaching Assistant, EYFS Teaching Assistant, Early Years Teaching Assistant or Nursery Assistant

    • Enjoy working with young children in Nursery or EYFS

    • Understand play-based learning and early child development

    • Are patient, nurturing and reliable

    • Can support communication, routines and social development

    • Work well as part of an Early Years team

    • Are able to commit to Thursday and Friday each week

    • Have an enhanced DBS on the Update Service, or are willing to apply for one

    • Are willing to complete Humly’s safeguarding and compliance process before placement
