Humly North West are recruiting for an enthusiastic and knowledgeable Secondary Business Studies Teacher to join a secondary school in Carlisle.
This role starts on 4 January 2027 and runs until 25 March 2027, covering the Spring Term through to Easter. There is also potential for the role to continue beyond this, depending on the needs of the school.
The school can consider either a full-time or part-time working pattern, depending on your availability.
You will be teaching Business Studies across GCSE and A-Level, delivering high-quality lessons, managing assessments and supporting students as they prepare for their spring exams.

What You’ll Be Doing
As the Business Studies Teacher, you will take responsibility for delivering Business Studies lessons across GCSE and A-Level.
Your role will include:
Teaching Business Studies to secondary pupils
Delivering GCSE and A-Level lessons
Planning and preparing engaging lessons
Marking work and giving useful feedback
Managing assessments and tracking progress
Supporting students with exam preparation
Helping pupils understand key business concepts
Managing classroom routines and expectations
Creating a positive and focused learning environment
Working with the department and wider school team
Following school policies and safeguarding procedures
The school needs someone who is confident with Business Studies, organised with planning and assessment, and able to support students through an important part of the academic year.
You’ll Be a Good Fit If You...
Hold QTS
Have experience teaching Business Studies in a UK secondary school
Are confident teaching GCSE Business Studies
Are comfortable teaching A-Level Business Studies
Can plan, teach, mark and assess effectively
Have strong classroom management skills
Can support students with exam preparation
Are reliable, organised and professional
Are available from January 2027
Can work part-time or full-time, depending on your availability
Have, or are willing to complete, the required safeguarding and compliance checks
